Does anyone have any advice for how to fix/work around this FFC issue? I think I've counted correctly that there seem to be 72 lines across the FFC (presumably points of connection)... As you can see there appear to be little scorch marks that have effectively removed portions of some of these lines. Is there a product that would enable me to "draw" these lines back in (I have a feeling I read somewhere that you can get a contact pen that draws a material on that can then fill the void of the missing wire?). The other option I'm considering is sourcing a replacement FFC and maybe cutting this at a clean point and connecting the good portions together (though from the look of this picture that may not be possible given it's location).
The monitor is a Samsung SA950 23inch 3D... and the FFC causes there to be a vertical line down the screen.
So what options would the experts on these boards suggest (links to part number's purchase locations appreciated... I live in Australia but am open to importing as the postal cost should be minimal for the size/weight of the parts I imagine I may need).

Thank you for the suggestion. The monitor technically doesn't have a typical FFC issue, in as much as I can use the screen without having to stretch the FFC's... the only problem I have is one of the FFC cables was scorched or damaged by the previous owner and creates a strip of dark pixels down about an inch of the screen... It's just one FFC that is damaged... and I just want to find a way to either replace it, or possibly repair it.
Am I correct in thinking I may be able to fix this with a "ZIF" connector? If so can anyone advise as to which one to get and where to purchase? I live in Australia but I'd imagine they are cheap(ish) to post given they would be reasonably small.
So without any other outside advice I came across another idea for how to "fix" this issue... namely, it may be possible to "sacrifice" one of the cables for the edge of the screen and use that to repair/replace this damage cable, I will of course then have a line down the side but at least it won't be in the middle of the screen and should hopefully be less noticeable.
Any thoughts on this as a possible "solution"... or any thoughts on how else I can repair/replace my cable issue?
