Anyone know of a good online primer on optics? Ideally, one with lots of diagrams and illustrations? I'd really like to get a better handle on the various principles at work, here. I think I'm beginning to understand (purely by osmosis!) FOV, focal length, etc., as well as lens configurations, but it'd be nice to find a really good, in-depth tutorial. I've tried Googling it, but I have yet to come up with anything satisfactory...
Alternatively, I'd be willing to buy a book on the subject if anyone can recommend one that's geared toward novices.
