Hello,
According to Hajo Prodan, who gave this name to an epoxy, sand and rubber mix, this composite seems very promising

Added Info SPEAKER BUILDER 2/1997 [Mar 1997] (v.18#2) pg. 53
The problem: the right granulation grade is sold by tons
The rubber granules should be 4-10x smaller than sand particules. Mr Prodan was lucky, as he was living next to a tyre recycle plant 😉 .
Has anyone succeded getting some mesh 80 (granules with 0.2 mm diameter) crumb rubber ?
For the moment, I could order EPDM grabules in 30 mesh grade (0.5 mm), from Melos GmbH. This woud necessitate sand particules not smaller than 2mm. Hajo Prodan seen to have used it to 3mm sand particules. I found quartz sand (0.7-1.2mm mix) at Swiss Composite (huge catalog 🙂 )
Any input welcome. Please, contact me for any info.
Best Regards,
Alain
