Opinions please on Op-Amps for Tuner

I am having my newly acquired Sansui TU-9900 modified and aligned.

The guru doing it says he uses either a OPA604 or LF351.

I will quote him:

Since the ouput amp is configured as a de-emphasis circuit with the de-emphasis around the feed back loop any 9uV/second or better Op Amp is great"

Also:

"A OPA604 or LF351 works equally well - i have not seen any
difference in specs or heard any difference"

I am assuming he was refering to Slew rate and the 132 is 20, between the 351's 13 and the 604's 25.

I know that Lehmann went to a 604 series op amp from the AD he was using when he revamped the Black Cube.

Would the OPA132 be a better choice in this application also?

Are there any other factors/specs which would preclude using the 132?

Would the OPA627 be a pin-to-pin swap for the 604 and be the best choice? (although expensive)

TIA,

Brad

I modified the TU-9900 with the OPA604. To me it doesn't sound bad at all although I recall some said the OPA604 was not the best opamp to choose, soundwise.
It would be nice to name the 'Gurus' you quote, I would be happy to learn more about that tuner.

/Hugo 🙂
