I have recently been made aware of this dual channel FFT software, similar in concept to SMAART Live and SYStune.
Sound measurement application for tuning audio systems in real-time
by Pavel Smokotnin
RTA, magnitude, phase and impulse response, coherence, group delay
Open Sound Meter
So far I have only done some loopback tests on a 2i2 3rd gen, looks like a great addition to the toolbox 🙂
Only mention of it I can find on DIYAudio is somewhat hidden here:

Interesting. It has a very simple interface, I'll have to play around with it a bit and see how well it works. Nice to see a native Linux option. It looks like with a few more features it could be expanded to a full measurement suite for speaker design. Until then, I will keep on with ARTA.
It's the real time part of it that really sets it apart, setting delay, allpass filters etc, seeing what happens when you move a sub in your room and loads more.

RTA is nothing new. FR1 and FR2 buttons in ARTA are for single and dual channel real time analysis. As always,"real time" is limited by the FFT length, so the higher resolution analysis you want, the less "real time" it becomes.
Certainly not new, I was using SMAART over 20 years ago, still a very nicley laid out tool that is free to use.

I was using some old clunky Linux software back in the day, Baudline. It has a lot of great features, but the UI is certainly dated. Devepment of it has continued apparently, but no longer free, it is a paid subscription software for modern compatibility. I would probably be willing to pay a small one time fee, but not a subscription cost for something that I rarely use.
