Open Office with Jeff Bagbys PCD

My computer is running PCD with W10 and an older version of Excell [ Office 2007] and it no longer runs.
Will PCD work with Open Office?
I object to having to buy upgrades of programs I don't need and being forced into a web based system when I don't need that functionality. I'll do it if that's the only way but simply prefer no to.

Last I knew, you could not use open office with pcd.

If I'm not mistaken, open office has forked into Libre office which is an open source effort.

PCD uses Excel macros extensively I believe. Jeff was big into those. Updates to Excel by MS have broken his work several times in the past. None of his stuff ever ran under Open/Libre Office.

PCD will work fine with Excel 2007, but you need the 32 bit version of Office. I've used PCD with 32 bit versions of Excel 2007, 2010 and 2021. You do need to enable VBA macros in the Trust Center and have the two analysis packs (listed in the PCD Instructions tab) loaded.

I have the 32bit Excel, I did think it was working before I upgraded to W10 but I've had a 64bit OS for a while.The Boss is an expert user I guess I'll have to ask for help but it runs just fine on her machine using W365

I have 64 bit W10 and 32 bit Excel 2003. PCD works just fine.

Yes it seems there is something wrong with my whole computer after the last upgrade. I'll get it seen to soon as i don't really like working on my laptop

Did you try winpcd? It's functionally identical, AFAIK

Not quite, no functional series xover ability was included.
