I have just had a play with my AV12s in a H frame dipole and now with sealed boxes. There really is no problem with turbulence. I had them hooked up to a powerful PA amp. It's amazing to watch material with deep bass as the driver leaps into extreme excursions unrestrained. For "normal bass" it might be only just moving a few mm, then suddenly it moves an inch! (or two ...)
The jet idea might help, but if it's a problem I'd expect there to be other turbulence problems.
What I found is when I put them in sealed boxes I had bigger problems with turbulence as air was leaking around the driver face plate! (This is what happens when you are in a hurry)
Perhaps it would be a problem with a lot of subsonic output with nothing else to mask.
