Hi,
It looks like I have blown the optocouplers on a DADA electronic speaker protection unit. I can.t find the exact part or even a datasheet for it.
Can someone tell me an equivalent? Preferably from Mouser. I have found this but not sure if its the same https://au.mouser.com/ProductDetail/782-CNY17-3
Thanks,
Kffern

The Onsemi version is a CNY173M, it seems that a CNY173 is a generic optocoupler. The 803Q numbering is just the onsemi manufacturing codes.
Here is a list at mouser of all the CNY173 opto's including the onsemi versions. You may have to consult with the datasheets to see what the differences are between the manufacturers.

So what was the original part number?
Some speaker protection circuits use unusual photo voltaic optocouplers to drive mosfet gates as power switches

That's all I can read off the unit. Dada is no longer so no help. There is no circuit diagram. I'll have to check what the transistor is when I remove the unit.

Translating the part number
CNY17 is base part
-3 is gain binning 100-200% CTR
The last part is packaging. What is the old part DIP?SMD?Wide legs?

Sorry, my first post was inadequate. Lost bits when I cut and pasted. The original is 6 leg DIP. The smoke came from the bottom end with a bit of burning seen along the track.

This one is obsolete but is the only one with "Q". https://au.mouser.com/ProductDetail/onsemi-Fairchild/CNY173_Q?qs=upyI8KKe6TTHEAtTEoeOwA==
Its the only one that has a forward voltage of 90mA. The rest are 60mA. Would that be an issue?
