I am a graduating engineering student from Leuven, at the "groepT hogeschool".
Here comes my audio-history.
I'm now 24 and have been busy with audio since I was 12. At 12 I bought with all my french-fries-money the first CD player at home. It was a portable one and didn't sound that good. 4 years later I had collected some money to buy a "serious" system: a pioneer receiver(RX403), a matching casette deck, a CDplayer and some speakers (bose
) . I thought it was almost the best available. Little did I know
. A few years ago I got internet and my eyes went open. Lacking some audiophile-grade money, I started DIY and buying stuff at dumpstores and flea-markets.
I made a set of karlson speakers, a guitar amp, repaird a lot of stuff and made some smaller things.
Now I'm busy with a preamp/active crossover. The next thing will be 4 gainclones to use 3-way active. For bass I will keep my old rusty teac A-X55MKII (bought second hand for €50)
next thing after that will be another guitar amp and a cab and ...
