I get follow reply:

Good morning Sir,
unfortunately we don't give either the schematic diagram or the instruction manual to third parties.
As the model you own is an old one, it is really difficult to be able to repair it.

I have find out, that the decoder and servo unit PCB is the same than by the Philips model CD931. Thus the CD931 service manual is useful.
But the DAC-board (works with TDA1547) so as the display board was produced by ONIX (own PCB's)

Who can post the schematic of this sections?
Thank you very much.

What is the problem with the CD33

Hi,

I had two CD33, both with the typical broken CD9 drawer mechanism, the toothless toothed wheel...
I have no service manual either, but usually that is not necessary -
I'd agree that Philips schematics and chip data sheets will provide almost everything you need to know - but what's the problem with it really? Perhaps I have a hint.

On the one hand side I worked a lot on the Farlowe Exposure CD and the Sugden SDT1 for improvements, on the other hand side I have a external TDA1547 Candeias Modelo DAC, so there is experience "from both ends" of that CD33. But I admit: the CD33 is hard to disassemble, so I never opened it so far without need. What I can tell you from my memory: it is one of the earlier CD models in the market, that provide a improved clock section, which is connected by long coax cables to the converter region.
So what does it do (or do not)??? No power, no signal, no (or wrong) drive function, controller problems?

Yours
Martin Kuehne
