I have been itchin to show off this amp I designed last year but hesitant also because I cant share the schematic. I did this job for a friend and he owns the design. By that I mean he paid me for the work. This thing has 10 tubes and 11 pots. There were two of them built and I there will be no more, it's was just too much work.
Two pre amp channels, a cold and a hot. Two 6L6GC output sections with a common power supply. Effects in and out. ect ect. The cad work was done with KICAD. It's free and a great piece of software. It even does a 3D rendering witch is flashy if nothing else.

As far as the design it is pretty standard. Lot's of things borrowed from the hollowed halls of the big named guitar amps of yesterday. The tone stack for instance is straight Marshal. the output and power transformers are Hammonds. and almost all to the parts came from AES. I should also give more than a nod to a publication named "the ultimate tone" It was worth every cent of the modest price I paid for it.
Hi chris661
Well each output section is good for 25 Watts, so My friend uses 2 Marshal 4x12 cab's --- Yes he likes it loud! This whole concept is his idea, I would never have done it but for him. He set down what he wanted in an amp, and paid for the parts and for me to become educated. It was a fair trade I would say. Part of the attraction is he wanted to use it with a stereo effects device, so two pre-amp channels neck down to one just out of the effects send, and the stereo outputs of the device goe's to seperate power sections.

here is the owner in full bloom
WHAT?! No way! Who made that guitar? Not Epiphone or Gibson, I'd bet...
That's fantastic. Sorry the amp looks great too...😛 !
Well -- That is a guitar made by a guy here in Seattle named Mark Riley. It is very much a limited production item, but I'm sure he has plans to make some more.
I think that this link works, It will send you to a photo gallery of his other creations.

Ok - what was a "one off guitar amp" has turned into "two off guitar amps." This is my stab at a combo amp. I had a crazy idea that the power section should be in the bottom of the amp. So I bought a combo cab from Mojotone and went from there. 6L6GC's for the power devices. "Front pannel design" is a company here in Seattle and you use their cad software to cob up what you want. Then the ship it to you in the UPS. Slick I tell ya! This thing is alive and well.

Very Nice Firechief! I like the "only I know what control does what" layout...
Is this a dual 6L6 power amplifier?
On a related topic, does anyone here know where to get Jensen speakers in Canada? For that matter, their website doesn't even mention resellers in the USA either...
Thank you

OK so someone is paying attention. If you count the controls on the effects device, there are 20 knobs. Kinda wacky. There are two of these in existance and the other one has a front pannel with lettering on it. They are 6L6GC's.🙂
