Hi chaps, TA2024 Tripath chips.... or any tripath chip for that matter.... No please, don't go away... please read on..😀
The chips put their internal reference voltage to ground via a 8.25K resistor.... Can someone explain what the purpose of this is please?
I just wondered if it contributes to the DC offset you get on these chips....?

It could be a dummy load to bias the internal regulator in absence of other loads.

It could be also a way to draw a current value within a particular range. This condition may be detected internally and used to turn on or off some feature.
