I have found the One Cycle Control for the first time here:
http://www.irf.com/product-info/datasheets/data/ir1150.pdf
After some search I have found the Patents:
http://www.freepatentsonline.com/5278490.pdf
http://www.freepatentsonline.com/5617306.pdf
http://www.freepatentsonline.com/6084450.pdf
The last one solved some problems with resetable integrator.
And surprise!!!!
These gentlemen’s have patented exactly the same thing years later:
http://www.freepatentsonline.com/6381154.pdf
http://www.freepatentsonline.com/6519167.pdf
I mean: the concept is the same, but the circuit is slightly different…
Is this some kind o joke??😡
Anyway, I have simulated the circuit published on page 16 of US6084450, and it works!!
Some time later I have found this old work (year 2000) from a student in Australia:
http://murray.newcastle.edu.au/users/students/2000/c9413970/Final_Report.zip
Think it is a good start for DIY and want to share with you guys.
However I think that the choice of components is not good.
It needs faster IC, better output power circuit, etc…

OOPS!!
Have discovered 5 minutes ago that the “Gentleman’s” are here:
http://www.nphysics.com/index.html
On the left, under “Company” menu read:
Patents Issued:
USPTO 6496059, 6381154, 6519167
plus many pending patents in US, Europe, Japan and China
?? Is NUforce an OCC ???

Hi,
you might also want to know that lady and gentlemen from the first set of patents are at the company with similar name Power Physics.
Best regards,
Jaka Racman

Maybe... they are obviously a connection...
Have found http://www.powerphysics.com/ later; you know the amount of information increases a lot if you know what to look for. Just search for Smedley, and you have the picture of the lady and everything!
But this situation of the patents is normal?
At least it seems immoral!
It is easily verifiable that Smedley have made a good job solving the problems (in the paper) of the first Patent.
See how many ears between 5278490 and 6084450… and the “other ones” have just changing the name from OCC to SCC and add some “rectifiers before the comparators??”😕
It is a shame!...
