On cleaning transformers

Greeting everyone,
Got some potted transformer on eBay that were brand new, however they have some surface rust. Any issues anyone can think of if I have them glassbeaded?

depending on the thickness of the metal can, you could have some warpage. That can be avoided by having them go slowly.

I have sandblasted mil surplus transformers before without any issues. I just took my time and didn't let it get too hot.
