Old TT - New components?

OK, I got my Technics SL-220 up & running, new belt, removed the "semi-automatic" guts, cleaned & re-lubed. I need to replace the four VR's as the R value jumps all over when adjusting them, so while I've got the soldering iron in there, would it be worth it to upgrade the caps, resistors & even diodes?

Would I hear much of a change?😕
