I repair all my stuff but from time to time I need help to Identify radio shack is not the help the used to be.
This comes from a battery charger and blew out the back everything else seems to be ok.
I think it just took too much through it on a startup
Can you help? I need to know it proper name.

it maybe a thermal fuse, looks somewhat like 150C at the bottom with a maximum through current of 2.5A - that is it can be used at upto 2.5A and will open at 150 centigrade to prevent a fire
where was it fitted - physically and electrically ?
was it in proximity to the transformer ?
is it now open circuit ?

i still think its a thermal fuse, there to prevent a fire from an overheating transformer. i've seen similar looking devices, eg
here
probably makes the most sense on the primary side (mains), especially given the 2.5A / 250v rating.
is that other thing (chr3) a diode ?
my information is a best guess, your safety is your own responsibilty

my logic, too,
says this is some thermal protection, overload, component
with the temp limit of +150 degrees Celsius
