My overhead projector stopped working (on newyears nontheless) at first the bulb went out, thought it was a shutoff switch from overheating, the fan kept running for about another minute than nothing...dead, it was really hot so I let it cool down but still nothing.
I checked the fuse, but it's good, was wondering if the heat sensor goes bad will it cause this?
If so where can I get a new one.

Yeah, I just checked the bulb last night and it looks fine, Oh well, it was free. Time to get ahold of the AV guy here at work and see if there are any others he wants to get rid of!
Just called a repair shop, said it was probably the power supply/stramsformer, to bad it was a pretty nice EIKI 3990 with 4000 LUMS and Dual lens, I've got two and now neither work.
Does anyone know about this stuff and give me an idea on how to replace (where to get) the transformer, I haven't taken it apart yet so I don't know voltages of anything but it's a 410W bulb!
