I'm considering retrofitting my ohp. It's a 3M 2150, rated for 2100 lumens.
It does have a reflector and a condensor lens. As I see it, retrofitting wil limit me to a 250W MH solution.
I'm projecting from roughly 12', for an image of 100" (roughly!!). This are dimensions I'd like to stick with -- will 250W MH be enough? Or should I expect to need a 400W solution for that size/distance? The current 2100 lumens is too dim! I can watch a movie, but some scenes re inpenetrable...
Also, I saw that people didn't like the color temp of the bulbs Alan sells at diylabs.org. He currently lists the color temp at 4200 -- is this the better bulb, or the bulb people didn't like?
