OHP lumens -> output lumens

OHP lumens -> output lumens

Hi guys
If my OHP is 4000 lumens does that mean that this is equivalent to a 4000 lumens LCD projector (an expensive, manufactured projector) or is there some formula to work it out exactly?

I'm intending to build a projector using a 3M 1750 OHP and the panel from a 15" TFT monitor.

nope sorry it doesnt work like that, LCDs pass 6-10% so your looking at 400 lumens max sorry.

I am using a 3M 1730, 360w ENX bulbs, with a Viewsonic VE-500 15" LCD and the brightness is fine for me. Even with a little ambient lighting it's ok.
