I found this site where the person modified the PV Classic 30 amp. He added a standby switch and tremelo. The problem is its in French.😱...there are pictures but I dont understand what he is saying....can anybody check this out and and maybe post it in English? here is the link , then click on the link there for amp mods SAINT GERMAIN MUSIQUE

I use Google Translate for things like this.

Go to https://translate.google.com/ and just paste the text that you want to translate into the box on the left and select your preferred output language on the right.

While certainly not perfect, its free, seems to work fairly well, and I can usually understand most of what the author is trying to get across.

Good luck,

Steve

Check the schematics: The diagrams are probably more telling than his explanations.

e.g.

Standby switch: There's a layout diagram showing to which traces you connect the switch.

Tremolo modification: He simply seems to be implementing the related circuitry from Peavey Delta Blues to Classic 30. LFO built on separate board, layout diagram showing where the board connects and which resistor gets replaced by LDR.

Besides native French, there's also a couple multi-lingual too 😉

So feel free to ask any remaining doubt.

One small problem with Translators (not their fault) is that garbled or unclear input (poor original text, slang, abbreviations, bad punctuation, etc.) can and will confuse them.

A small example: where the original text says "Chaque vu est une étape." it translates "Each saw is a step." while he should have written : "Chaque vue est une étape." which more approppriately is translated as: "Each view is a step.".
And so on.

Good luck with your project.
