I have, and I still have a few questions

- Where it says "5v4" does that mean 5v 4uf? Or 5v supply?
-My LED would go where? In place of " R18 "
-Where are the voltage inputs and outputs?

Sorry about all the questions, but I am completely new to working with ICs. I only have experience working with passives.

- 5V4 is the +5V connection
- Led goes in place of R18
- 36V5 is the +36V connection
- you will need a regulator to convert 36V to 5V for the LM555.

So that should do it then... I will build this circuit once I grab a 555.

The original power supply will be hating life if there isn't breathing.

555 relies on 1/3 and 2/3 charge discharge of a capacitor for it's timing. This will not happen for the first cycle, and the timing will be wrong. Use CD4541.
