Objective + ODAC modifications

Hello,

I decided to modify my brandnew O²+ODAC to make it nomade 😀

The ODAC is placed over the PCB Amp, So I have to move the ODAC under the PCB amp

I dissambled the O²+ODAC
I took off the PCBs from the inside of the enclosure
I numbered the 3 wires
I unsoldered the 3 wires of the Amp PCB

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

I put some duck tape under and over the PCB ODAC

I replaced both PCBs inside the enclose, it's very narrow and tight
BE CAREFULL slidding the PCB

Now I have to cut a small piece of aluminium and make a hole for the miniUSB connector
Drill 2 holes on both PCB to make it unmovable

I can't believe this fits there. 🙂

If the sound is perfect, as it should be, without any background noise added, then this is great news. Basically, it's an ODAC with batteries inside, all in the same case, right?

After you'll finish drilling the back of your case for the mini-USB plug, please put some final pictures.

Thanks!
