Hi,

No, I meant double the x/o points used in the 20" wide baffle for 10" wide.
As in the article you want a bass mid about 6dB louder than the FR.
Bass Fs and Qts are not so critical with a 120Hz active x/o.
rgds, sreten.
thanks Sreten. i get it now.
10" wide would be ok for me. i can go high upto 12" wide but not more than that for aesthetic reasons. will try simulating these widths and see which one works out better. thanks
auxiliary question:
crossing at 120hz would be a good idea? or should i cross below at 80 or 100hz to get proper stereo image?
as i have read, even until 180hz we can't locate/seperate the stereo sound?

PS95-8 is surely an under-rated and under-used driver. Quite a little budget gem. I am listening to them now and really like them. Make sure you mount it flush with rebate for bezel. That will reduce a 3dB ripple in response.
as mentioned i am planning to cross at between 500 to 800hz to an 8" midbass. in your opinion (as per your listening experience) which xover point you would suggest for this? I am interested to use fane 8-225 woofer.

my understanding is that as much as let the small FR handle the freq range as smaller cone can offer better soundstage, imaging. so going by this assumption 500hz would be a good xover point but i will have to also consider the ps95's performance at this point. ie. distortion. in your 'objective' thread in ps95's measurement i see that after 300hz THD and harmonics are much reduced. what is your opinion?
