hehe... how well would this work? I'm going to try it anyway, as I want to make something, going to use 4 8inch venoms (which don't suit open baffel at all) and try it in a car... 🙂

I think the outerbox will increase baffle size greatly. without that the front and backwaves are seperated by only a couple inches. With it they are seperated by at least 10 inches. this should have some effect on FR. Also I think the outerbox will provide better figure 8 dispersion.
One thing I dont find is any point in putting a dipole in a car. there are no room modes. The modes exist at a much higher frequency in cars. This is due to the very small space. Shorter wavelengths mean higher frequencys. Cabin gain kicks in below at least 80hz and modes are rare

it was really just an experiment trying it in the car.... just like horns in cars 😛
