Made Power Supply as shown but no picture on panel and the LED is red new power and green does not glow. Power is exactly as described and it seems to be working because fan works and speaker makes noise also i.e. it seems to work.

I do not have VGA adapter for my z350. I was hoping someone would be able to tell me the pin-out that will go from 3 rows of 5 to 2 rows with 7 and 8. The post in panel paranoia for a nview spectra c did not work for my z350. I noticed in the previous photo that the holes are numbered. I think I will try again using these as my guide. Hope my info helps you.

transport97, were you able to locate the pinouts for you nview? If not, I have a Nview z110 and I can get the pinout from that... I bet they are the same.

hey davneil

does the small lcd light up . if it does you should be able to adjust the panel to show the splash screen. as for the video cable i am using a standard vga cable with a pc to mac converter which is available at any computer store fo a few dollars. it also might be a good idea to use a multimeter to check the voltages . if all seems good open your panel and check the cables to make sure they are not loose. good luck

also the green light only lights when there is video input

Small LCD did light up and it says press any key and nothing happens when I press any key. If what you are saying is correct then it is the small LCD which will make it work by pressing some key.

Which key dod you press, I press every key and small LCD panel does not change at all?

Thanks,

Hummmm well to me it dosent sound all that Good I hope you didnt spend too much cash on them, However that said you could find a tec savvy Person to trouble shoot the panels for you, Personally My Bro is a Computer repail and nano electronic thing a ma jig guy( LOL whats his real title I dunno) But I brought a few lcd panels to him and He got them working, you might try finding someone or you could send them to me and I could see if he could fix them????? Dunno what else to say:bawling:

Video Freak, man that is a very generous offer. I am serious if it takes sending it to you I will do that. I think the LCD's are fine and some one may have used some wrong power supply which fried some other part except the monochrome LCD display. I did not pay a lot but I did pay enough to feel it.

Once again thanks a lot. Let me know what your brother thinks and we can get into it.

hey davneil

did you use a multimeter to check the pinouts on the plug you made to make sure that the right wires are connected to the right pins . also did you open the panel to see if there are any loose cables . if you are using a plug from a keyboard the wires are coloured differently to the powersupply so beware.

I used multimeter to check but one problem I do have. I did not wire both the RTNs. Keyboard plug had four wires, +12, -12, +5 and Groud or Zero. I don't know how to make to RTNs same because the one of the RTNs I cannot access. If you think one of the missing RTNs is causing this then this will be good. Tons of thanks for the help.

Hey dav I talked to My brother and he said he could look at them for you and he would ask 15.00 total( plus shipping) to test everything and then HE will be able to better say whats wrong and if it could be repaired. So If you wanna do this then cool and if not thats ok also Just thought I would post a followup.
