I have noticed that the commonly available capacitors, and resistors have the same sequence of values
1.0, 1.5, 2.2, 3.3, 3.7, 4.7, 5.6, 6.8, 8.2
Is there a reason for these values?

Whoah there. Schoolboy mistake... 😕
3.9uF surely, not 3.7uF... 😀

I did pick that one up myself. 🙂
Strangely Wilmslow Audio have an entirely different scheme on Coils:
Air Cored Inductors
Prefer whole values rather than Logarithmic. 😕
