Number 3 455kcs IF transformer ?

The last IFT in a set will usually be different, as it drives the detector instead of the next IF stage. Note that 'last' is the significant issue, not 3rd.

The schematic says there's an oscillator coil and 3 IF transformers, they are all different as in the windings? So what would I be asking for,is it the last IF coil in the AM tuner set? Another thing I would like to be clear on is,are all AM tuner sets of AM IF coils the same, is it that the pin-out arrangement would only be different, would that be right?

Well Elvee with your excellent advice you saved the day, thank you I really do appreciate it.I wouldn't have been that worried about it if the radiogram was mine but I'm fixing it for someone else Whew!!! Ive soldered both wires back and superglued the crack and clamped it tight,Ill leave it for a day to set properly.Job done,Yay!

It often pays to be persistent, even when the odds don't look promising.

A tiny piece of ferrite popped off when I was screwing the core back in! It took me hours looking around on my hands and knees trying to find it. I superglued it back again, I might leave it to cure for a while longer this time.If this coil repair doesn't work out at least I know what I'm doing now, Ill find an old radio with a schematic and use the last IF coil.
