what to do if not using a trimmer (afterall there is a capacitor at the output) -

Dear Sir,

could you explain your point ?
Do you mean that trimmers are normally used to null the offset?
So with a cap at the output (eliminating any offset problem) I could vary the resistors value within a certain range?
Very interesting.

Kind regards,

beppe

Hi beppe,

trimmer in this case is indeed used to minimize dc offset ...

but then again - as allready in original thread about ns10 someone said - why to use trimmer if there is capacitor at the output ... And according to his experineces sound without trimmer was better ...

Dear Mr. Stabist,

thank you so much for your kind and valuable reply.
1) I understand that. Perfect.
2) I may even understand who hates coupling caps, but doing without them is not always the easiest thing. DC offset can jump in easily.
3) this is very interesting. a pot is always a pot. much better low noise fixed resistors.

Thank you so much.
Have a nice weekend,

beppe
