Hi all,
I have build several versions of P3A, and i am happy with the sound and all, but..
It is impossible for me to get more than 30 v pp swing from the amp before it clips, and i was hoping for some more. When it clips it is symmetrical.
My rails are at +-42 volt and the PSU is standard with 2*4700uF.
I have tried to feed to voltage stage with a current source and with botstrapped resistors - its all the same.
Does anyone have an idea ??
Thanks and kind regards,
Stormo

Hey
30v pp seems reasonable. Rememer that the rail voltages will fall when you load the amp, and you will also lose voltage across the 0R47 resistors.
