so i got ahold of a box of NOS tubes.......

GE 1612, 5965A, 6X56T, 6BL7GTA, GL 6014/C1K, 6879
SYLVANIA 5557, 6350, GB 6350
RCA 6B8, 991, 5915, 6CL8, 6AL7GT,
ELECTRONICS INCORPORATED ELG6H-1
AMPEREX E83F, 9H9, 6336A, 85A2, 6227
TUNG-SOL 5693
ETELCO LIMITED GC10B
and various others......

anyone have any idea of use, value, and/or desirability?

I think some of this stuff dates to the early 60's.....

Lots of those valves are useful; just from memory:

5965A: useful driver double triode, similarly 6BL7 and 6350.
6336 is a power double triode used in power supplies, and useful in OTL amplifiers.
85A2 is an 85V neon reference.
E83F is a special quality small signal pentode

As to worth, they're worth what someone will pay for them. Prices are extremely variable, but if you figure an average of $3 per valve in its box, you won't be far wrong.

GC10B is a dekatron and completely useless - unless, of course you are into restoring early digital computers.
