NOS Siemens F2a’s

OT:

I've wanted to build a clone of that amplifier for a couple of years already. I have seen these valves available on eBay, but boy they are just too pricey so I'm going to use a KT88 instead. So, no, I'm not going to buy these F2a's unfortunately, but I am interested to know what you liked about the amp ?

Ah, it’s many years ago since I owned The Shindo Cortese. I used it with a Shindo Vosne- Romanee pre. Truly liquid presentation. Ahh, wish I’d never sold this combo!!

Re the valves, they are expensive, though a great investment for anyone with a F2a amplifier. If they lasted 25000 (half expected life for these), how much does it cost per hour for all that Audio heaven? I rest my case! 62

More photos. Thanks for looking. Can someone please advise as to inverting the photos.

62 - wow

2 years and 2 months later.

from L 495 down to L175 and still no takers.

Should have invested in a gold sovereign.

Look on the bright side:

You get and A for effort though.

If I had a use for them I might buy them.

But if you had some NOS GEC KT88s, KT77s, or KT66s
then we might do some talking.

Or a WE350b

Good Luck
