Hi Guys
Need some tutorial. Have a 300Va 240v trafo with 40-0-40 ac out.
What is the actual current output per winding in amps
Thanks

Its 300/80 which is 3.75 amps.
So you have two windings each rated at 3.75 amps and 40 volts. That is 150va per winding.

Theoretical maximum is 3,75A. In practice a transformer doesn't put out current. The load draws current.
The AC current rating doesn't translate to the DC current available after rectification and smoothing. After you rectify and smooth you'll generally get just under +/-60VDC unloaded.
