Good morning,
I found 2 audiobahn aw1206t subwoofers in my garage. I have never rebuilt a subwoofer, but would like to try. I was going to use the baskets but need help to find replacement parts. I already know I'm going to get **** cause they are audiobahn, but instead of throwing them away, I want to.use them to build and learn.

Search the net for:
speaker subwoofer rebuild parts
There are multiple videos that will cover the procedure.
Do you simply need to replace the foam or are the voicecoils burned?

The coils are bad, I tested them with a multimeter. And they grind when I push down. The real question I have is, since audiobahn went under and I cant find any parts for the actual subwoofer. Can I buy reconing kit from a similar subwoofer or what should I do?
From most of the parts sites, you will be able to find voice coils, cones with the coils, spiders and surrounds as one unit... You'll have to pull yours to get the dimensions to get the right parts. Unless you're bored or just wanting to learn, it's probably not worth the effort. Comparable woofers are likely available dirt cheap.
I appreciate the guidance. I took one to work with me, and took it apart. I think I'm going to rebuild them as a winter project. Any videos or books you recommend?
No.
When you start looking for the voice coil, be aware that not only the diameter is important. The length of the voicecoil, the length of the former, the vertical position in the magnetic gap and the thickness (number of coil layers, wire size and the thickness of the former) are also important if you want the speaker to perform anything like the original.
The cone material and the surround will also affect the overall sound.
You'll need to dig out ALL of the old coil material out of the gap. This can be tedious but needs to be done thoroughly.
