Or try to find one of Alex Kitic's RH84 / RH807 / RH34 / RH88 amps which sound very nice and pretty close to a 300B for a fraction of the maintenance costs.

second that - for some folks there is just not enough time/resources to try every interesting iteration (unless your name is Nelson Pass 🙂 ) - a pair of junk-box RH84 based monoblocks have been a mainstay in Dave's system for several years now, and we just never got around to implementing an RH34.
another interesting option for those that prefer the sound of 2A3 to 300B ( wah, I can't be the only one? 🙄 ) could be to consider a P/P with the 6 volt octal equivalent 6BG4
a few years ago at VSAC Brian Cherry demoed a great sounding kit P/P 2A3 (Joplin?) that was for me one of the better sounding amps that weekend, and at a silly low cost
