I am in desperate need of 2 Noble Dual Emitter Resistors, 3 W 0.22 ohm for my 20 year old Sansui Au-G11X II integrated amp which has performed exceptionally since the day I bought it but has now decided to burn one out.
I have found these at MCM Electronics in the US but I am in the UK and was wondering if anyone knows of any alternative solutions. All suggestions welcomed.

Bear in mind that resistors seldom fail by themselves; they are symptoms of more serious problems.
I agree, use two resistors. The dual part is there for the convenience of the manufacturer. Alternatively, you might scavage one from another dead stereo.
And do heed the advice that resistors burn out because something else caused it.

Some of those resistors are actually designed to be fusible and open for safety. (That allows the savings of the cost of fuse.) As others have said, it's an indication that something else is wrong. I'm betting on shorted outputs.
I have an old Sansui laying here and the outputs failed and someone else has worked on it. They replaced the outputs and it looks like the whole thing went up in smoke, drivers and all. When I get around to it, I plan to just "shotgun it" and replace all the components in that part of the circuit.
I don't know if that's typical of a Sansui or a poor job by the last person to repair it, but you may wish to check everything in the amplifier section just to be safe.

Thanks guys for your input. The bits about something else causing the failure is most certainly true. I have found other components that need changing including the power amp transistors but I have not checked the output circuit yet. I have a feeling that is where the trouble lies. As I find worn and burnt components I check to see if there are replacements. The only one I can't find so far is the dual emitter. As I now know that I can probably safely replace it with two resistors I will continue my journey through the circuit board to discover what other weird and wonderful problems await me. Thanks again and if there are any more suggestions regarding the failure please do not hesitate to post.
