No sound coming from the stereo

I recently purchased and installed the JVC kw-r930bts for my 2004 Honda Civic. I installed no problem and it was working fine except for the fact that sometimes I would turn the car on and the radio would turn on but no sound. If I restarted my vehicle the sound would come back. But recently that hasn't worked and I haven't been getting sound from it at all. I hear the speakers buzzing but no music. I redid all the wiring and I even checked every fuse and even replaced some to see if that would help but nothing has worked. I'm at a lost right now

I put my old stereo back in and that works fine. So it has to be the aftermarket stereo but I'm still not sure what could be the issue. I'm pretty confident the wiring is good, and the fuse that is on the stereo is still in good shape so I have no idea what it could be.

Haven't had a good chance to work on it again due to the weather but I'm back at it now. I tried a bunch of things and I'm still nowhere. I did some different wiring, I double checked all my fuses, I messed around with the harness pins. I actually got the radio to work once and I wasn't able to do it again. I'm at a lost here. I'm guessing the amp isn't getting power and I have a blue/white cable on my head unit that's meant for the amp, but the only wirie I can connect it too is the blue antenna wire that's in aftermarket harness but there is no amp wire in my Civic so I'm not sure where to connect it. Again my factory radio works fine I'm just at a lost on why I'm not getting any sound on my new one. I should also note that my car used to do an alarm when the lights are left on or if I let the keys in but I'm not longer getting an alarm so I think it may be connected? Is there maybe something wrong with the battery? I have no idea any help would be appreciated

You've been a bit vague on the details of your system. Is it just the head unit driving speakers? You've mentioned an amp and then said no amp then something about a blue wire. Remember, ALL we have to work with is the information that you provide.

My head unit turns on but no sound is coming from the speakers. There is no aftermarket amp in my system, i was thinking because the head unit turns on but no sound it would an issue with some sort of amp, maybe the one built into the aftermarket stereo if there is such a thing? Im pretty confident that my wiring is correct. The head unit has a blue/white wire that is designated as the amp wirie and I spliced that with the blue wire from the aftermarket harness, that blue wire though doesn't go to any wires when I plug it into the factory harness, the pin goes to an emptty slot.

But bearing all that the sound has worked a couple times which leads me to believe that the wiring is all correct. I'm thinking it's a ground issue or an issue with my battery not putting out the right voltage for the head unit. I just got my battery tested and it's not fully charged and the alternator isn't working fully so I'm wondering if that's the issue.

Do you have any spare speakers (even home speakers will work)?

You need to disconnect all speakers from the head unit and just out of the harness, connect a speaker to each channel.

If you do this, make absolutely sure that the individual speaker wires cannot possibly come in contact with anything, not even another speaker wire from the head unit.

Do you have a multimeter? If so, with the black probe on the case of the head unit and the red probe alternately on the red and yellow wires of the aftermarket head unit, is the voltage between about 11.5 and 14v?

Very much doubt the battery is the issue as the unit should function at 12V-13.8V take the battery out and charge it up if you are unsure.

The blue/white wire from the head unit is a signal out wire that signals to an automatic aerial(or aerial amp) to power up.

The orange/white wire from the head unit is a signal out wire that signals an external Amp to turn on (like a sub woofer).
The brown wire from the head unit is a signal wire to mute the sound if a hard wired phone is used in your car. Check this is not connected to anything as this may cause the issue you have.
Make sure your mobile is not bluetoothed to the unit either as it may be overriding the unit and the unit is expecting music from the phone.
There is a reset hole somewhere on the front (behind the detachable face plate I think). Use a paper clip etc. to push the reset switch as the firmware may have glitched.
