im 16, just got my car, never even been in a car with a sub...haha...well i have a pioneer, not sure what model, but it has the wiring harness thingy hooked up, and a male plug going into it, and then there is 2 holes left, L and R and those both go to my ampp. So there is no remote!!!!! im so confused.

could i just split the wire? so it ran to both?

NO you need to run a remote wire so your sup is not on all the time. if you short it like how we are tlaking about it will be on all the time and not on when the car is running or the stereo is turned on.. Look on your wireing harness looks for the blue remote wire it is labeled if you cant find it ill get you a picture..

If he does then the amp will stay on all the time ? If that is what he wants then go for it.. good luck getting your car started with a dead battery.
oh, so the remote wire is in the wiring harness thingy. It should say remote or something like that on it?

YES! 😀 There ya go.. now your getting it. 😀
Once you find that wire you will have to make it longer and run it to the back to your sub BUT also before you do that look at your rca wires there should be a left rca wire and a right. SOME TIMES there is a center wire mostly used for remote. If so use that 😀 if not then you should buy one with that center wire and then use it instead.. Ive done plenty of installs in my life. And soon to be doing another good one on my new hond.. maybe soem kick pannels and a fibre glass sub box 😀
so... do i need to clip the wire and add wire and ru it to the amp, or does it still need to run to the head unit?

Step 1 First find the blue remote wire on the harness plugged into the back of the deck.
Step 2 look on your rca patch cables and see if there is a center wire.
tell us what you find. Then we can go from there.
If you want msn me or pm me and ill help you with more details.
