Hello, first timer here. I have a Heathkit AP 1800 preamp that worked perfectly before moving recently. It was cushioned, boxed and carefully hand delivered via my truck's seat to my new in the Seattle area...less than 30 mile drive. Now, after install at the new home, the PA will not power on. Anyone in my area with suggestions on whom or where I can take it for repair?

Any hobbyist or ham radio guy can fix that. If it does not light up at all, it's probably a loose connection,
a dirty power switch, etc. Something very simple.

rayma, thank you for your response. I'll be looking at it further tonight. Hopefully it is something simple that I clean or tighten.
First, make sure the wall AC outlet works by plugging in something else. Then work the preamp
power switch back and forth with a little pressure. If you have electrical contact cleaner, use some.
Then see if any tubes or the power light come on. If not, unplug the cord from the wall, wait
ten minutes for the power supply to discharge, and look for a bad fuse, or a loose connection,
either near the power switch, on the rear AC outlets, or at the inside end of the power cord.
