My amp, Onix OA 21s, has no headphone out. There’s a tape out connector on the backside, but nothing switched.
Am I thinking correctly that I could plug in a HP-amp, and use this (with the Onix‘ Pot put to zero)?

There are a few suggestions regarding devices to connect headphones to amps. Quad had a simple circuit for their 303 (IIRC) which Google should find. Then, there's this: https://robrobinette.com/RobinetteBox.htm
Yes, as long as your headphone amp has a volume control, since the tape output is a fixed level.
