Greeting to everyone seeing this !
I stumbled upon the two items listed in the title and have absolutely no idea on how to go about connecting them, for the purpose of playing vinyl record's. Total disclosure, I've never hooked up any audio system before, so Im clueless to what I need to know. As much as I could figure out, I need speaker's, if they're stand alone, I need an amplifier, the two must be compatible for the set up to work. From the vestax manual I found out that the controller doesnt work as an aplifier, dont even know if I need it for playing record's. What if I use a wireless speaker like a jbl go and convert the rca phono from stanton to aux to fit the jbl, will this set up work ? I mean the speaker has it's own power, so theoretically it might. Again, no clue, just shooting ideas here. A friend of mine has speaker's that he is about to bring, and Im guessing they will need an amplifier, and the quality vs the jbl go should be substantial. Yet I also have so pc speakers laying around, how would that work ? And if this is not too much trouble, I might want to buy a second hand amplifier, saw prices locally from 40eur+ so that might be worth it. Any information regarding this setup is most appreciated, thank you for reading up to this point stranger 🙂

Welcome to the forum!
You can connect the Stanton to the phono inputs of the Vestax mixer, that's what it's made for. The mixer will bring the phono level up to line level.
From there it's going to depend on your speakers. If they are powered speakers, they will have an map built in and all you need to do is connect them to the output of the Vestex. Your'e good to go!
However, if you want to use "normal" un-powered speakers then you will need an amplifier between the Vestax mixer and the speakers, because the speakers do not have a built in amp. Pretty simple.

Pano, thank you for the quick and calming reply !
Seems simple enough, one extra question though, about the amplifier's. How would I go about choosing the right one if I already have some speaker's, what do I need to consider before purchasing. I mean for them to be compatible with one another and for the amp not to burn up the speaker's if that's possible )

You're welcome!
Choosing an amp is pretty simple -IF - you know your goals. Basically how loud do you want to go and how big is the room? The power needed could range from 3 watts in a small space to 1000s of watts for a big PA in an arena.
For most speakers in most domestic spaces 100 WPC is plenty. 20 watts could be fine for loud listening on monitors that right in front of you.
While you can blow out speakers with too much power (I have set them on fire) most damage comes from clipping amps that don't have enough power. Some people use a rule of thumb that says the amp should be rated for 2X the power of the speaker. That's a very loose rule, though.

If You use 2x amp power, make sure The VU meters never exceed the -3dB mark, but You will probably blow them anyway when You're excited...
