i saw plenty of adapters and solutions, since i am pcb designer at first i might make mine from scratch or simply toss it away. i decied that i had enough of that nikko with the mt-200. time for something else.
No need for adapters. They add thermal resistance anyway.
I have mounted various plastic types in where TO-3 types were for years. The plastic packages were designed originally to mount where the metallic packages were, so TO-220 for TO-66 and TO-3P for TO-3 (264). Haven't had to replace MT-200 types yet, but I wouldn't be buying an adapter for that.

i wouldnt put anything more in between the transistor as the amp seems to run hot already, adding another layer doesnt help thermal transfer imho...id rather put some to3-p or any of its variant. just need to drill holes and tap.
id be tempted by the 2SC5200 and its complementary 2SA1943. seems cheap, more robust maybe and available at trusted sources.
