I recall seeing a classic computer photo or two (I don't mean Commodores or IBM PCs) during the "nightly maintenance." Back then, core was a part of memory rather than a processing unit.
Ahh, just thinking about all that glorious hardware (PDP and VAX series by DEC, IBM 7000 series all the way up to that lovely boot-up floppy seek sound my 3- and 486-es made) makes me want to have grown up in the cold war era...
