i am not the author of the 3times rule as you call it, found it somewhere else and it made sense to me, i do not need to be told of things that i already know...
Maybe you have not considered that other Members could benefit from reading my comment on the 3times rule and in particular on the conditions for it to apply and retain some semblance of accuracy. The conditions that you did not mention.
Compare the information in posts7 & 8.
BTW,
I came up with the 3times rule independently (and probably at least 50years after it was made public) for application to opamp power supplies vs maximum transient signal handling. It was from this I realised the CURRENT limitations and that it could be extended to many amplifier configurations provided one remains aware of the conditions for which it holds as a good guide.

nope
and second link also looks like shite now....excuse my language
If I correct the link it works ok a couple of times then reverts to eBay - one of the UK's largest shopping destinations
Looks like DIYAUDIO is screwing it up ?
I have now fixed it 3 times and it still goes wrong after clicking it a couple of times.

Is the link too long for DIYAUDIO ?

Alternatives search for "20 watt valve amplifier" on eBay - one of the UK's largest shopping destinations
I have reported it to the team

If I put in the link it keeps working fine but if I leave the page and come back to the page it has gone wrong.
Refreshing the page also loses the original link.
If I go back to the first post and cut the link and copy it into addressbar it works fine.
So it looks like DIYAUDIO forum software is not reading the link properly.
