Welcome Bill, we have a large bunch here into Car Audio......in the Forums listings there is the "General Interest" with the sub-section "Car Audio".

Building Car Audio yourself is difficult as you can imagine as there is so much commercially made stuff. I did read a few days ago of a guy building his handmade stuff for his car...lots of pictures...he had a tube powered pre-amp on the back shelf !!!!!!! Pretty cool stuff.
