I'm picking up a long abandoned project to build a 5 channel amp for home theater using Leach amps. I have some heat sinks that use heat pipes (see attached pics) with the same thermal specs as the regular heatsinks. I'm thinking this will let me get 5 channels into one chassis. I really like the "Jack of All Chassis" for sale on the DIYAudio store, but using these heatsinks I don't need the heatsinks built into it. Does anyone know of a chassis like it - in particular I like the blind mounting of the faceplate, I think it looks so much more professional. Any suggestions for other chassis with a high SAF (Spouse Approval Factor)?
Thanks!

I can't answer your question, but I thought I should point out that the close spacing of the fins on that heatsink indicates that it is intended for use with a fan. It won't come anywhere near its spec with only natural convection.
Thanks Mr. Evil - I knew that, I'm using some rather quiet thermally controlled fans that will ramp up as the heat sinks heat up. Given their db ratings they should be too quiet to hear with music playing. The heatsinks are just a smidge too tall to fit into a 4u enclosure, I'm going heatsink shopping at work when I go back on the 2nd (I work at HP, I can get samples of about anything, hope to find something better suited to a 4u case).
