Hi there,
Given the age of its design, I'm curious how the
NHT1259 stacks up against other sub drivers in its
price range.
Thanks,
Dennis

Hi Dennis,
Ive had an NHT1259 for five years now and I'm very happy with. I can't comment about the sound quality of the newer drivers but the NHT is certainly outclassed when it comes to Xmax:
NHT1259: Xmax = 13mm for $150
Shiva: 15.8mm for $125
Stryke SAE1204: 14.3mm for $109
Blueprint 1201: 16mm for $91
The best bang for the buck at the moment seems to be the Stryke AV12 though. It boasts a one-way Xmax of 23mm for only $140 on pre-order!
Nice one,
David.
