Reading some of your comments of the past, it seems Scott favourite is the A12P, while Dave's favourite are the A10.3 and the A11ms.
Do you still have the same preferences? Without limits on dimensions, what is your favourite speaker cabinet?
@GM
I've read you like the Mellow Monster (inspired by Olson 1937 patent: https://www.google.com/patents/US2224919 ).
It seems quite complicated to build, and it seems one of the precursors of the Silbury I already built (that includes other innovations too).
What can be expected as difference between a taller thinner speaker?
@freddi
I've seen some back loaded horns with Karlson-shaped mouth. What are the benefits?

What are the benefits of a vented port cabinet with:
- a rectangular vent instead of the circular one? More "guidance" to the flow, so a more laminar flow?
- a horn-like vent?
Thanks
Roberto

Dave’s favorite is A7.3 (and MAOP). I tend to prefer the A10p over the A10.3 & a12p. I prefer A12pw obver A12. I would love to hear MAOP 10.2.
There are thou, very few Markaudio drivers that aren’t worthwhile.

The microSize miniOnkens are the ones i am personally most proud of, the Frugel-Horn family is a close second and has had much more impact on the community. The way teh FH3 came about was literally magical. After stuggling for years (i have 10s of prototype drawings for FH2), it all cam together in a week, including rejecting the first one after building it. From a text description by Scott to a loudspeaker we were listening to — and thiousands built since — and it was a home run.
Mellow Monster ... it seems one of the precursors of the Silbury
The Olson horns, which differ from the Mellow Monster in that it has stepped taper, and the many Nagaoka stepped taper designs did inspire all of the Monoliths, Mashowe, Vulcan et al.

MM has front mouth but closer to a circle. The wall/corner loading gives the Megaliths an edge, the high aspect mouth is not as effective, but the curved/RonHorn style mouth helps counter that.

Yes, when driven with the proper system* it was designed for it was quite impressive compared to even the best consumer systems available way back when.@GM

Spatial loading and its impact on polar response, so if room to add Altec cinema horn 'wings' as seen in my avatar to match MM's width it should perform near enough the same in the mid-band and guessing better down low due to increased height over whatever BW it is assuming a similar F3, Fb.

Sorry, I read on another thread about your preferences on the others two, it was probably limited to a specific case.Dave’s favorite is A7.3 (and MAOP).
You should write more about it on the site. I've never read this story before, and it's interesting!The way teh FH3 came about was literally magical.
