Newbie seeks advise on removing a 7k bump in midrange speaker response

First attempt at a crossover

The full range mid driver Fostex FF125WK has a nasty bump at 7k, advice sought as to what values and what elements to use for smoothing ?

any experienced advice greatly valued and appreciated

my MacBook can’t find any free software that’s works

Have a look here for an example of what a fullrange needs (baffle step compensation and breakup): Zaph|Audio

I suggest you pick a proper simulation software, the online calculators can be useful only as a starting point in this situation. XSim is good, you need to trace the FR and impedance of the driver. You need a windows machine, I don't know if a VM under the Mac would suffice.

You may not need to suppress that spike anyway but if you still feel like doing it, ok. A simulation is useful, especially when fed with your own measurements.
