Greetings from germany.

After having seen a few videos of portable amplifier i was excited to build myself one. So I did.

I used the
TDA7492P amplifier

As metal sheet i used an old car license plate.

Now after having tasted blood, the sound is amazing , its cheap, and its fun to build it, i had some doubts, because its too good to be true.
Thats why i looked it up and came across this forum.

Ive read here that the Amplifier I am using is soon not going to work anymore, because it does not have a heatsink. Can i add one heatsink so that it lasts longer?

Or would you recommend me a better one?
Like this One?

I am afraid that this setup is not going to last long and i would like to have more fun of it.

How long do theese amplifiers last?

There is also this cracking sound when the speakers are on low sound level, which disturbs me a little.

I am also a little afraid that those batterys might explode one day but that is a minor issue right now.

Thats pretty expensive my friend.

So how long do you think those TDA7492P s last?
Would you recommend me putting heatsinks on it?
I have a few old pcs laying around here that have heatsinks.

Which amplifier Class d offers the best price/performance ratio regarding my needs
Id also be willing to spent some time into soldering and tweaking those little babys if necessary , recently started to solder and stuff.

Regards
