I have to ask, pardon my hidden agenda, but how many of you would like a networked P4 box with a pair of UcD 180's in it - so you could play your digital tunes from one box?

No more wires from your computer to your amp - just one computer box with Bruno's amps in it?

Surf, play tunes, whatever.

Please give me an answer - you cannot imagine what's riding on your response...

BTW, it's already built and done...

im an oolong fan myself. this is just a nice mixed black tea though.

anyways, back on thread.

i would like to know more. if its just a PC with an amp slapped inside, no thanks. but, if it looks nice, had decent quality, and looks like an audio piece, and maybe is silent, im interested.

I'm sorry all, I didn't mean to come off all 007 on you guys. Of course you can imagine what I'm up to - I'm sure many of you are well beyond my meagre efforts.

All I've done is put a couple of UcD180's (+toroid/PSU) in a 17x10x3 box with a dual networked P4 XP Media Center Edition mobo controlled by a wireless 10.4 inch touch screen.

Works like a damn champion. Pics and stuff coming as soon as I can get my self together to do it.

The thing is - I have a guy coming tomorrow from an audio firm here in Boston and I was eager (no, greedy) for your opinions before he came.

I usually run my sound from my computer on an Echo Indigo into a NAD C270 with a Jamo MPA-101 for my sub - but it's a bummer having all those boxes and wires. Wouldn't it be cool if all that was in one box?

I thought so and built one.

I built my box for me, but so many people pushed me to do something with it that I wound up having this guy come see it at my place. I am promised a few beers and a casual chat. I am still nervous.

I've spent a few years working on this thing and I guess I'm getting a little wierd about it. LOL

Oh well. I didn't mean to come off a jerk. Sorry chaps. I would certainly welcome any suggestions/comments.

Hi Tom, I really didn't think it was all that bad. Good luck with your meeting and .... by all means enjoy the hookers :devilr:
